I do not think that young people in Japan are sufficiently interested in politics. The percentage of them who vote is low, and they do not seem to care much about political issues.
First, in Japan, (X significantly→ a significantly) lower percentage of young people vote in elections. This low voter turnout shows that young people either do not care enough about politics or simply do not feel like their voice will make a difference.
Moreover, some young people in Japan do not follow political news or understand how government decisions affect their lives. This lack of awareness makes it difficult for them
to actively participate in politics and suggests
that their general interest in political issues is (X low→ relatively low).
For the reasons mentioned above, I think that young people in Japan do not care as much about politics as they should.
